An attempt by authorities of the Ejisu Senior High Technical School to fence the school against intruders was met with stiff resistance.
This comes after Municipal Assembly staff occupying bungalows on the school’s compound brought in a bulldozer and city guards to stop the construction.
The assembly staff say, they will not allow the fencing unless it is done to exclude their bungalows from the perimeter of the school.
On the last visit of the Municipal Security Council, members agreed that some of these bungalows could be given to the school.
But Headmistress of Ejisu Senior High Technical School, Veronica Tandoh requested for the full fencing of the school to protect the school’s land.
The uncompleted wall around the school has exposed it to public intrusion and lack of control of the activities of students.
Due to these challenges, three students of Ejisu Senior High Technical School were stabbed in three separate incidents.
An 18-year-old form two student was stabbed close to his spine with a pair of scissors when he resisted attempts by four of his colleagues to snatch his phone.
Another student was stabbed when some youth from the Ejisu township attacked him in an alleged fight over girls.
A student was also stabbed on campus in the head by students during a fight.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Ejisu, Nana Afrane Okese has given the green light for the construction of the wall.
