A Tax and Regulatory Partner at Deloitte Ghana, Gloria Boye-Doku has urged all women professionals to commit to being advocates for change within the workplaces, communities, and all spheres of influence.
According to her, positioning themselves would enable them deliver results wherever they are.
She disclosed this at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) version of International Women’s Day 2026 Celebration.
The theme for the occasion was, “Making equity a reality in a changed world.” Mrs. Boye-Doku said the theme could not be more relevant, explaining that “As the world continues to evolve, shaped by innovation, shifting career paths, and new economic realities we are reminded that progress must be intentional and inclusive”.
She mentioned that equity does not happen by chance, but it is a conscious effort that requires commitment, collaboration, and action.

“At ACCA, we are proud to champion diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the finance profession and beyond. We believe that when women are empowered, supported, and given equal access to opportunities, they not only transform their own lives but also uplift families, organisations, and entire communities”, she stressed.

The event provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, shared experiences, and practical insights. It was an opportunity to reflect on how far ACCA women professionals have come, while also challenging themselves to do more, to break barriers, to create pathways, and to ensure that no one is left behind.
There was a platform for meaningful dialogue, shared experiences, and practical insights through a roundtable conversation.
