Award-winning Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has revealed that her role in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s yet to be released movie “Us In Between” is the most challenging she has taken emotionally.
Speaking to Doreen Avio after the exclusive premiere of the movie at the Labadi Beach Hotel over the weekend, Lydia Forson revealed that it felt real due to the effect of the coronavirus pandemic across the country during the shooting.
“So you are going on set and worrying about safety protocols. You are worried about Covid-19 and having to play the role of a Covid-19 patient,” she said.
She revealed that she cried on set almost every day.
“Us In Between” is a movie inspired by true events leading up to Accra’s lockdown whilst capturing glimpses of what was also happening around the world due to Covid-19.
The movie tells the story of a young nurse (played by Lydia Forson) who saw how the coronavirus pandemic was affecting the lives of people in affected countries and sought to warn her hospital.
Even though Shirley Frimpong Manso and her team did not give an exact date for release, she gave reasons that they are trying to secure various platforms so everybody can see it,
According to her, she is hopeful government will reopen cinemas soon.
'Us In Between' features other actors like Senanu Gbedawo, David Dontoh, Adjetey Annan, Michelle Attoh, Nikki Samonas, Oscar Provencal, John Dumelo amongst others.
