Global best practice examples show that political commitment to road safety have impacted positively on the road safety situation of some of the highly regarded best performing countries in road safety. Fortunately, Road Safety enjoyed a remarkable rise in political patronage in terms of advocacy from you in particular during your tenure as Vice-President and later as President during the last term while funding also appreciated significantly.
