The government has named a new Director-General for the National Communications Authority.
PaaRock Essuman Van-Percy, a Financial Consultant has been appointed to replace the current Director-General, Bernard Forson.
The replacement comes at a time when most mobile phone users are unhappy with the services offered by the operators.
Minister of Communications Haruna Iddrisu confirmed Mr. Forson’s replacement to Joy Business, but says it has nothing to do with competence.
He says Mr. Forson turned down a new appointment as policy advisor to the Ministry of Communications.
The new Director-General, PaaRock Essuman Van-Percy’s appointment is with effect from June 1.
