The Divisional Executive Committee of the National Commission for Civic Education staff union, has denied media reports that there is tension and confusion amongst the staff of the Commission throughout the country.
It has therefore warned media houses to desist from publishing false stories about the Commission to avoid a confrontation with the press.
In a statement issued at the end of an emergency meeting in Kumasi on Friday, the staff stated that, "there has not been any form of confusion or tension whatsoever, among the staff country-wide or of any region as published.
"We are therefore asking the publishers of these false stories to retract them since they are aimed at, among others tarnishing the hard won image of the Commission".
The statement said the alleged diversion of two Nissan Patrol Vehicles were false and were no where near the truth and called on the public to ignore the publications.
The statement expressed the support of the staff to the chairman and management of the Commission and called on the staff to work hard to maintain the current reputation of the Commission.
