Volta Regional Women's Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ms Mercy Kuada, has appealed to the youth in the party to remain steadfast while upholding unity to guarantee a landslide victory in the 2012 general elections.
She said the future development and successes of the party were dependent on the youth and they must therefore refrain from destabilizing its internal structures as that could ruin the standing of the party.
Ms Kuada said this at the Hohoe North Constituency Executive elections at Hohoe where nine officers and their deputies were elected under the supervision of the Electoral Commission.
Mr Victor-Hermann Condobrey, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, called on the in-coming executives to defend the course of the NDC at all times and eschew selfishness in all their undertakings.
Mr Wonder Boasilenu, 46, an agronomist, was elected the new constituency chairman with Constance Tumawu emerging as his Vice-Chairman.
Mr Michael Adzimah became the secretary; Mr Ben-Habib Siki Abibu emerged as organizer.
Others are, Mr Kingsley Aborgah, treasurer, Mary Ofori Dunyame, Women's organizer, Mr Mathias Amuzu, Youth Organizer, Mr Felix Nana Attu, Propaganda Secretary.
