President J.A Kufuor has released the next list of ministerial and deputy ministerial nominees with some key positions still missing on the list.
A statement issued by the Chief of Staff and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mr Kwadwo Mpiani named the MP for Tema West, Mr Abraham Ossei Aidooh as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Esther Obeng Dapaah replaces Prof. Dominic Fobih as Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines and Mr Godfrey T. Bayon has been nominated Minister of State at Ministry of Transportation.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians are still in suspense as to who would be named as substantive ministers to occupy that of Defense, Interior, Finance, Water Resources, Works and Housing as well as Local Government and Rural Development.
According to the statement, Mr Kenwood Nuworsu has been nominated as deputy minister of Manpower, Youth and Employment, the MP for Asuogyaman, Mr Kofi Osei Ameyaw becomes the deputy minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Ms Vicky Bright becomes a deputy minister at the Communications Ministry whiles Rev. Dr Akwasi Owusu-Bi has been nominated as deputy minister for Trade, Industry, Private Sector Development and PSI.
For deputy regional ministers, Mr Samuel K. Obodai goes to Central region, Mr Ofosu Asamoah for Eastern region, Mrs. Agnes A. Chigabatia for Upper East region and for Upper West region; Mrs Winifred Asibi Dy-Yakah.
The names have been submitted to Parliament for vetting. The Appointments Committee of Parliament begins sitting next week.
