Former Member of Parliament for Atebubu Amantin constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region, Emmanuel Owusu-Mainu is dead.
The former National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP died Tuesday, February 18, at the 37 Military Hospital after a short illness, a family source told Myjoyonline.com.
He was 65 years.
The late Owusu-Mainu was elected to Parliament in 2005 but lost his re-election bid in the controversial primaries held ahead of the 2012 general elections, to then District Chief Executive Sanja Nanja, who eventually retained the seat for the governing party.
