The Nigeria Football Federation has unveiled Finidi George as the new head coach of the country's men's senior national team.
The 53-year-old signed a contract that will keep him at the helm for the next 24 months.
He is expected to help the West African team win the upcoming 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco, following their loss in the final to Ivory Coast in the last edition.
George is not new to the job, having led Nigeria in international friendlies in March against Ghana and Mali, with one win and one loss [W1, L1].
He was also part of predecessor Jose Peseiro's backroom staff for twenty months.
As a player, he played an instrumental role in Nigeria's 1994 AFCON-winning feat.
