The Ga Mantse, Nii Takie Adama Latse II, has urged Gas in Greater Accra to use this year’s Homowo festival to forge ahead in unity for accelerated development of the Ga State.
The Ga Mantse urged the youth to guard against social vices and instead practice virtues that would mold their lives and help them grow into responsible leaders.
Making the call in an interaction with newsmen in Accra at the weekend, Nii Latse II appealed to Gas to put the past behind them and develop the area as a united front.
Nii Latse II urged all Gas to celebrate the Homowo festival in a peaceful manner, and cautioned against unlawful acts during the celebrations.
The Ga Mantse also spoke on the recent fire outbreaks in Accra and some parts of the country. Nii Latse II said the situation was worrying and disheartening.
He has therefore urged the authorities to put in place appropriate mechanisms that would help forestall future occurrences.
