Nkulenu Industries Limited has joined the list of reputable organizations to have signed up for the JoySports Invitational Tournament 2025, after officially confirming participation in the event.
Nkulenu Industries Ltd, is a leading food processing company in Ghana. It was established in 1942 by Dr. Mrs. Esther Ocloo (Nee Nkulenu) to create employment for herself, because after leaving Achimota College, there was no job opening due to the aftermath of the Second World War. Ms. Esther Nkulenu invested a sum of six out of ten shillings pocket money given to her by an Aunt; the Late Miss.
Josephine Nkulenu (Mrs. Mensah) into oranges, sugar, firewood and used jam jars, to produce twelve jars of marmalade. In pricing the marmalade, she decided on a 100 percent markup, and sold a jar at one shilling. She had no difficulty in selling her marmalade thereof due to the shortage created by the war.
The JoySports Invitational, Ghana’s leading corporate sports event returns on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.
Max-Fugar, the Multimedia Group's Head of Sales and Marketing, expects an improved tournament that offers value to clients and participants.
"We are excited that the JoySports Invitational is back. The 2025 edition is going to be bigger and better," he said.
"We have listened to our patrons and participating teams from last year, and we have factored them into this year's event. It will be bigger and better. We have increased the number of sporting activities. Again this year, we are going to take the registration fee ahead of time so we can plan better for them.''
The academic institution is joined by Peeva Beverages, Heritage Christian University, Emigho Ghana Limited - producers of Yomi Yoghurt, Sapholda Ventures, who participated in last year's events. Axis Pensions, Nkulenu Industries, Premier Health Insurance, etc. have also signed up for the tournament.
The JoySports Invitational Tournament will take place at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon, on Saturday, August, 9, 2025.
