Ghana midfielder Gladson Awako has officially parted ways with TP Mazembe after both parties failed to agree on an extension.
Awako joined the former African Champions in 2012 after an impressive stint with Berekum Chelsea.
Injuries blighted his last few years with the Congolese side forcing a loan move to Don Bosco.
Upon completion of his loan he returned to Mazembe with his contract nearing its expiration.
And the Congolese giants have decided against extending his contract.
The club's official statement reads
"The TPM wishes to thank Gladson AWAKO whose contract has come to an end,"
"Arrived in 2012 at the Ravens from Berekum Chelsea of Ghana, the midfielder has finished his loan to CS Don Bosco."
"His talent, professionalism and undeniable technical qualities have made Galdson one of the midfielders noted during his five years in the Democratic Republic of Congo."
"During his three years at the TPM and two years of loan to the CS Don Bosco where he flourished, Gladson AWAKO was noted for his involvement in the game and thus greatly helped the group to progress."
"The very strong competition in this sector of play has unfortunately prevented it from imposing itself on the Crows."
"We would like to thank the Ghanaian international and wish him the best for the rest of his career."
Awako has expressed interest in playing for Asante Kotoko.
