Offshore Shipbrokers has opened an office in Ghana to serve the local and West African markets.
The company will provide consultancy and broking services both within the Ghanaian market and the wider West African offshore industry from its offices in Tema.
In a statement from the company said the it will introduce knowledge transfer by apprenticeship training for local employees via the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, as well as employing support staff for the office.
Mentoring will also be provided by Offshore Shipbrokers’ London and Aberdeen offices.
Miles Dymock, FICS, a Director of Offshore Shipbrokers Limited said “with this expansion into the rapidly developing West African market we will promote growth in the Ghanaian offshore industry and secure our position as the leading independent offshore shipbroking company.
Offshore Shipbrokers Limited is a leading global offshore broking company that employs 14 brokers from its offices in London, Aberdeen and Tema.
The company is involved in all aspects of the offshore industry from the chartering of rigs, PSVs, AHTS etc to barges, security vessels and crew boats together with newbuilding and Sale & Purchase activities.
Offshore Shipbrokers' introduction into the West African market is intended to help further bring innovation into the offshore shipping industry in Ghana.
