Accra Great Olympics’ slide in the Onetouch Premiership has seen no salvation regardless of a performance that gave them a point in their one all game with Real Sportive at the El-Wak Stadium.
Olympics who are now on three points from a possible 24, went down as early as the sixth minutes after Ali Lukman had shot the visitors ahead from a tense goalmouth action.
Lukman towered above his makers to send home a free header from a corner kick that was the visitors’ first of their numerous on the afternoon.
With the action getting better and chances evenly split, Olympics managed to pluck home the equalizer in the 23rd minutes through Paa Joe Kuma.
The player had given the scanty and inpatient crowd that patronized the game hope when he displaced goalkeeper John Adjetey from the spot after a Sportive player had handled the ball in the box.
But Sportive almost restored the lead eight minutes on when Shadrack Dodzi’s effort missed target by a whisker, with Olympics’ goalkeeper Ibrahim Salifu well displaced.
Both teams fought in vain to change the result in the second half.
