The Omanhene of Techiman traditional area Nana Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV has called on the people of Techiman to vote to retain President John Mahama in the upcoming December polls.
The traditional ruler recounted numerous developmental projects been undertaken in both Techiman North and South constituencies under the tenure of his the president
He mentioned projects like the ongoing Tuobodom-Offuman road, Techiman township roads, the two community day senior high school (SHS) in Techiman North and South, the absorption of Kwarteng Ankomah SHS in Tanoso and the Kesse Basahyia SHS in Oforikrom.
Nana Ameyaw IV said this during his welcome speech at the inauguration ceremony of the Krobo Community day SHS in the Techiman North district of the Brong Ahafo Region by the President, Thursday.

He also thanked the President for government's relentless effort in the area of health mentioning the nine CHPS compounds built within the traditional area as a major achievement.
The Omanhene, however, used the opportunity to appeal to the President to furnish an ongoing women and children hospital built by the Techiman Municipal Assembly and the local government with the necessary medical equipment and an ambulance once the project is completed.

He also called on the President to establish cocoa district office in the municipality since Techiman can boast of over 2000 cocoa farmers and produce a good number of tons of cocoa annually.
This according to Nana Ameyaw IV would go a long way to encourage cocoa farmers to indulge more into the farming business.
He concluded by urging all stakeholders especially political parties and the media to be mindful of the use of intemperate languages before and during the December elections.
