Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), a worldwide organization focused on improving software security, is launching its local chapter at the British Council on September 5.
The launch of the not-for-profit worldwide organisation in Ghana will also be followed by a Cyber Security 2013 Summit - which will bring together top business Executives, Policy Makers, Managers, Technical Leaders, Analysts, Engineers, and Students to brainstorm ideas to address inadequacy of secured application technologies on the market and its effects on growth of Ghanaian businesses and economy.
"The Ghana Cyber Security Summit will include competitions, along with extensive hands-on training, and an exhibition hall featuring the most [notable] companies in the cyber and software security industry", a statement from OWASP stated.
Theodore Sagoe, Regional Event Organizer, noted OWASP, across the world strives to provide world-class training in a variety of skills and interests during all its summits - indicating the September 5 and 6 events will not be any different.
From the novice to the expert, developers to managers, decision makers to policy makers there is a training course at the Summit for people interested in cyber security issues, the press release said.
