The Appointments Committee of Parliament is scheduled to vet Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister-Designate for Lands and Natural Resources, along with three regional ministers-designate, on Monday, 27 January 2025.
The vetting process will commence at 9:00 a.m. in Committee Rooms 1 and 2 of the Parliament’s Administration Building.
It represents a significant stage in assessing nominees put forward by President John Dramani Mahama to serve in key leadership positions within his administration.
The nominees slated for evaluation include Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister-Designate for Lands and Natural Resources; Tia Ibrahim, Minister-Designate for the North East Region; Dr Frank Amoakohene, Minister-Designate for the Ashanti Region; and Akamugri Atanga Donatus, Minister-Designate for the Upper East Region.
The Committee will scrutinise their qualifications, experience, and proposed agendas to determine their suitability for their respective roles.
In previous sessions, the Appointments Committee has successfully vetted and secured parliamentary approval for a number of nominees.
