The Northern Regional executives of the People’s National Convention are calling for the outright dismissal of the party's national youth organizer, Abu Ramadan for endorsing the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Abu Ramadan told Joy News he will not campaign for his flagbearer Hassan Ayariga who he accused of flirting with the ruling party.
According to him, he would rather endorse the NPP flagbearer based on his free SHS education policy.
His comments have been described as "unwise and barbaric" by the Northern Region executives of the party.
At a press conference in Tamale, Monday, the spokesperson of the executives, Abdul Karim Sualeh said the PNC Youth Organiser has been "unfaithful to the party."
He said Abu Ramadan has violated the party’s constitution and must be sacked from office.
He also chided the youth leader for “ridiculing the flagbearer” Hassan Ayariga.
Whilst insisting that the party leader did no wrong, Sualeh said Abu Ramadan should have resorted to the party structures for remedial action to be taken if he believed Hassan Ayariga misconducted himself.
He said Abu Ramadan should have been sacked the very day he endorsed Nana Addo.
