The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye has declared Baffour Gyan wanted for his alleged involvement in an attack of a journalist.

The Ashanti Regional Editor of the Graphic Communications Group Daniel Kenu was yesterday attacked by six macho men led by Asamoah Gyan's elder brother, Baffour Gyan.

Daniel Kenu who has already lodged a complaint at the Kumasi central police station explained to JOY Sports correspondent George Addo Jnr ,the men in the company of Baffor Gyan queried him on why he asked a question in connection with Castro who has been declared missing after he went swimming at the Ada beach resort some weeks ago.

Daniel Kenu wanted  confirmation to allegations that Asamoah Gyan had “sacrificed” his friend Castro when they went for holidays in Ada.

“This will not be in a good taste…It has nothing to do with the upcoming match but I wish to appeal to Asamoah Gyan to clear the air.. There is this allegation that you sacrificed Castro for whatever reason……"

The  question angered the Black stars captain who was restrained from confronting  the journalist after the Press soiree but his  brother Baffour Gyan sought to accomplish that with Macho men outside the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.

According to  the experienced journalist he was man handled and sustained some degree of injuries.

Asamoah Gyan  and his Brother ,Baffour Gyan are yet to comment but the Kumasi central police station is handling the case .

But the Ashanti Region branch of the GJA condemned the action and demanded the arrest of Baffour Gyan.

The Police mounted search for him and the macho men but to no avail.

Mr Kenu has received treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
