Police in the Ashanti region are on the hunt for killers of two men in Ashtown in the Manhyia South constituency of the Ashanti region.
On Wednesday, a number of unknown men shot and butchered the two people in the town. This has resulted in tension in the vicinity.
The police, who suspect the killings to be reprisals in connection with some violence which occurred in the constituency during the 2012 electioneering campaign, have deployed security personnel there to ensure safety.
Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Mohammed Tanko said investigations are being conducted into the matter.
