President John Agyekum Kufuor on Thursday granted audience to Dr Juanita Bynum, a Bible Teacher from the United States (US), and asked her to use her influence to support Ghana's efforts at linking up the Continent with those in the Diaspora.
President Kufuor said Dr. Bynum should join in the "Joseph Project" that seeks to assist Africans outside to re-trace their route to the Continent.
Dr Bynum, the internationally acclaimed African-American prophetess, psalmist and media personality, is the Founder and President of the Juanita Bynum Ministries in Waycross, Georgia.
She has been using her Ministry to send messages to encourage her listeners to deepen their intimacy with God and arise to their divine calling and destiny.
President Kufuor said he was impressed with her teachings about the need for people to enrich their spiritual personality adding that this was something that Africa truly needed to hear.
"As much as we need material wealth, we also need the wealth to enrich our spiritual personality."
Dr Bynum said there were powerful changes of transformation in Africa, economically and socially, and what was required to appreciate these was a spiritual mentality.
Wealth, she said, should not be seen in terms of money. Wealth is the pasture of your spirit.
She said it was on the basis of this that she had been empowering Africans to have self pride and dignity so that nobody could manipulate them.
