Rev. Fr. Ignatius Amponsah of the St Joseph Catholic Church, Adoagyiri-Nsawam in the Eastern region is happy African Union leaders did not ostracise troubled Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe from their summit and urges them to continue to build peace.
Read Rev. Fr. Ignatius Amponsah’s letter commending the AU leaders.
As you end your 11th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and salute you for not joining hands with Euro-America and their agents in condemning President Mugabe, but welcoming him to your August Assembly, as well as seeing him as a brother who needs to be helped to liberate Zimbabwe from manipulation, exploitation as well as slavery that our beautiful, great and rich continent has been plugged into for many years due to lack of unity of purpose, foresight and vision.
I also want to congratulate you and doff my hat for you for encouraging Zimbabwe to form a unity or union government. Please for the sake of unity of purpose, do not listen to Euro-America and their propaganda machinery, as far as their so called multi-party democracy is concerned.Multi-party democracy is a tool to coerce Africans in a very subtle way, to continue to have their “hands in the mouths” of Euro-America which is very dangerous and risky for our true independence and self-reliant.
Our dear Zimbabweans, kindly heed the call of the African Union Leaders, because the union government that they are proposing is the best for Africa and not the so called multi-party democracy which is nothing else but the “winner takes it all type of government”
It is a very selfish type of government that breeds political hatred, jealousy, enmity, character assassination, politically motivated violence, bloodshed, votes rigging, unnecessary atmosphere of fear, alarm, chaos, rancour, lawlessness, terrible and shameful corruption that is very difficult to do away with in African government because of the very expensive nature of multi-party democracy as well as divisiveness that destroys unity, peace and consistencies in the development plans of many African countries.
Even America is unable to do away with the dog-fight that goes on during their political and electioneering campaigns. During their political and electioneering campaigns, they fight with “sharp mouths” and we Africans fight with our hands and the two types of fights are not good for our great rich and beautiful continent, they are absolutely unacceptable in out political life.
Bravo.
