Sir:If Nana Akufo-Addo and Prime Minister David Cameron met, over any matter, at #10 Downing Street as reported, it would be a clear case of British interference in the politics of Ghana.Upon confirmation of that meeting, I would urge our country’s High Commissioner to London to send a note to the British government/David Cameron protesting the Prime Minister’s official accommodation of Nana Akufo-Addo at this crucial electioneering moment in Ghana. As Prime Minister Cameron may be well aware, Nana Akufo–Addo is a candidate running to be president of Ghana in opposition to the sitting president.Any action by the British that appears to give unwarranted official recognition to Akufo-Addo posing as the representative face and voice of Ghana flaunts diplomatic protocol.International law requires that the British Prime Minister must channel his contact with Ghana through each other country’s official representative, at the level of nation-to-nation.Ghana must demand sincere apology from Prime Mister David Cameron for his infraction in this matter.Sincerely,
Yaw Asare Adu-Otu
