The once very elegant national theatre is being left to rot. The theatre which used to host very high profile programmes is now the last option for event organizers.
Many of the facilities there are in a bad state.
The chairman of the Council of State Prof. Kofi Awoonor has complained about the managers accusing them of ineptitude.
He wrote his strong views in a book of condolence opened for the former boss of the national theatre, Efo Kojo Mawugbe.
The workers' union is equally frustrated at the ineptitude of the leadership.
As Seth Kwame Boateng reports, a timely intervention is needed to save the theatre.
