After narrowly escaping relegation, Free State Stars have decided to clear their house by placing excluded Black Stars goalie Daniel Agyei on transfer come next season.
The South Africa side escaped relegation by the skin of the teeth and has decided to part ways with nine players and placing goalkeeper Daniel Agyei on the transfer list.
The nine players are Tshepo Motsoeneng, Mongezi Bobe, Enva Wiltwer, Anver Esterhuizen, Mthokosizi Yende, Mbuyiselo Sambu, Jurie Basie and Salmaan King are no longer on the the club’s books. Sadate Ouro Akoriko has also left, but on his own terms having previously signed a pre-contract with AmaZulu, the exodus of these player has been confirmed by the club’s general manager Rantsi
“Those players are not in the coaches’ plans for next season. We felt that it is fair to release them early so that they can go search for teams,” Mokoena said.
“We will make sure that we replace those players with quality players. We saw what happened this season with the team and we don’t want to witness that again,” he added.
Daniel Agyei joined the club this season and got injured in the last quarter of the PSL League. The 2009 Youth World Cup winner is confident of joining a bigger club next season
