The General Manager of Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani, Robert Mensah, has been honoured as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) Marketing Practitioner of the Year 2023.

The prestigious award was presented to Mensah at an elegant ceremony held at the Labadi Beach Hotel, where his outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry were celebrated.

The citation accompanying his award described Mensah as an "achiever" with "exceptional qualities as a hotelier," who has overseen the remarkable transformation of Eusbett Hotel.

Under his leadership, the hotel has grown from a modest 16-room facility to a 200-room establishment, now proudly bearing a 4-star badge.

"Today, it has become arguably one of the very prominent success stories in your industry," the citation noted, highlighting his ability to elevate the hotel's standards amid challenges of falling industry standards and stagnation.

Eusbett Hotel's elevation to a 4-star facility makes it the only indigenous, Ghanaian-owned, and managed hotel to achieve such status.

The award further recognised Mr Mensah's innovative leadership and strategic marketing acumen.

"Your understanding and deployment of strategic marketing tools like Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning have seen you use them to enhance the experience and satisfaction of patrons in this competitive space," the citation praised.

His leadership has also been characterised by a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, with his initiatives continuing "to touch and transform lives."

These efforts have contributed to the hotel's reputation as a "facility of choice," known for providing "excellent value and first-rate hospitality and conferencing services through a dedicated and personalized service."

The evaluators at CIMG unanimously endorsed Robert Mensah for this honour, acknowledging the significant heights he has led his team and organisation to attain.

As the citation concluded: "The heights you have led your team and organization to attain made your evaluators unanimously vouch for you and duly confer on you, Mr. Robert Mensah, General Manager, Eusbett Hotel, the CIMG Marketing Practitioner for the Year, 2023."

Mr Mensah’s recognition as the CIMG Marketing Practitioner of the Year 2023 is a testament to his dedication, vision, and exemplary contribution to the hospitality sector in Ghana.
