A 17-and-half-year old school drop out, Patrick Boateng of Nkwakom, has been arrested by the Nkwawie police for allegedly threatening and snatching the cell phone of Miss Manuella Asamoah-Ayabeah, a teacher.
Miss Asamoah-Ayabeah said on February 15 she was walking to school when she heard someone ordering her to stop.
When she turned she saw a young man wearing a mask and holding a cutlass, a knife and a pair of scissors.
He demanded her cell phone and threatened to kill her if she refused to surrender it.
She handed over the cell phone to him and he vanished into the bush after which she screamed for help and it attracted some residents in the vicinity.
Miss Asamoah-Ayabeah said the people searched the bush for the alleged thief but they could not find him. She reported the incident to the Nkawie police who arrested Boateng.
When contacted the Nkawie police confirmed the story and said Boateng will soon be put before court.
