George Kwasi Afriyie, an Executive Committee Member of the GFA, has his club gunning for a place in Ghana’s elite division.
George Afriyie is the owner and bankroller of division one side Unity F.C who have just qualified for the division one middle league from Zone 1.
Unity F.C qualified alongside Bechem United in Zone 1B after beating Berlin F.C 3-1 at the Berekum Golden City Park over the weekend.
Mr. Afriyie commended his technical team and playing body for taking the team to that height and told Asempa Sports on Monday that he masterminded the qualification of the club to the Middle League, with a well planned preparation which included purchasing good players, getting the right technical men and above all providing financial motivation.
Unity F.C will compete with Bechem Utd, Guan United and Bazooka F.C for the coveted Zone 1 ticket to the premiership.
