A State Attorney, Mr Brentuo Kyei-Baffour has observed that the effective development of social, economic and human resources of the country greatly depends on the level of training and motivation given to the youth.
Mr Brentuo Kyei-Baffour, a State Attorney at the Kumasi office of the Attorney General’s Department, said the youth should be adequately empowered to engage in productive ventures.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Monday, Mr Kyei-Baffour said the government should strengthen and give priority to the training of the youth in vocation, technical and agriculture production.
He stressed the need for the country to move away from “technological backwardness” to sophisticated use and from old agricultural practices to modern scientific methods.
This, he said would add value not only to goods and services but also adequately improve the economy.
Mr Kyei-Baffour charged the government to revitalize and invigorate the country’s educational system to enable it respond to the current scientific and technological realities.
