Bossman Boakye, a former student of the Nyinahin Catholic Secondary School has been sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour for stealing a mobile phone.
He was also fined ¢3.6 million for stealing a DVD player belonging to Mr Richard Boateng, the Assistant Headmaster of the school, and Madam
Ophelia Boateng, a teacher at Nyinahin.
The accused pleaded guilty.
Prosecuting, Detective Chief Inspector Nkrumah told the court that in May 2006 the accused, who was in his final year, entered their rooms and stole the items.
A report was made to the police and he was arrested.
