Ghanaian midfielder Frank Adjei made a stunning impact off the bench, scoring a crucial goal just one minute after coming on to help IFK Varnamo secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against Malmö FF in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The match saw Malmö take an early lead through Daniel Tristan Gudjohnsen in the 4th minute, but Varnamo equalized in the 34th minute with Mohammad Alsalkhadi’s goal.
Malmö restored their advantage before halftime through Pontus Jansson’s header.
However, Varnamo’s substitution of Adjei for Simon Thern in the 78th minute proved pivotal.
The Ghanaian latched onto a clever pass from Carl Johansson and calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to level the score.
His goal underlined his ability to influence games from the bench, making him a valuable asset to the team. Adjei has now scored twice in nine appearances this season.
