A mother has been abandoned by her husband, ignored by her family and left to cater for five children, three of whom are physically challenged.
Gladys is stigmatized in the community she leaves in, as many who shun her company wonders how three of her five children are disabled.
The 58-year-old is a petty trader in Osu, a suburb of Accra and despite all the hostilities around her, Gladys is boldly fighting the stigma to keep her children alive.
For her, the children are a gift from God and nothing will keep her from protecting them.
