The People's National Convention (PNC) has said it has no document implicating waste management company, Zoomlion in any shady deal, despite an earlier claim by a party functionary.
A statement by the PNC National Treasurer, Akane Adams said there has not been any discussion by the leadership of the party regarding any contract between Jospong Group of Companies and government.
"We have not discussed any item at any leadership meeting as a party regarding the above subject or issue and for that matter, we cannot claim to have vital documents implicating the above company in any fraudulent activities with the government of Ghana," it reads.
PNC General Secretary, Atic Mohammed has stated on an Accra-based radio station that the party had stumbled on a document which pointed to government contract with Zoomlion worth GHC450 million.

He said the sum of GHC62 million was paid to the waste management company for no service performed for the government.
Mr Mohammed had said the contract is worst compared to the GHC51.2 million judgment debt paid to National Democratic Congress (NDC) financier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
But the party said it has no document pointing to any fraudulent activity between the government and management of the company.
"Issues and allegations of this nature must be treated with care to protect the party against any defamation suit at this crucial moment as we go into a crucial election," the statement read.
Mr Adams urged the other executives of the party to make available any document regarding the deal for the party to act on them.
Until this is then, the statement said, "such claims remains rumors and must be treated with the contempt it deserves."
