The Chairman of the Abuakwa Presbytery, Rev. Ernest Oware Darkwa, has called on workers to sympathize with the government and help save the country from strikes that could eventually erode the peace the country is enjoying.
He was speaking at the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Presbyterian Catechist Union at Kwabeng in the Atiwa District at the weekend.
Rev. Darkwah said the church needed a new breed of catechists who would not allow money to sway them from the truth and advised catechists to preach against the evils in the society such as indiscipline, ethnic conflict, chieftaincy dispute and others.
He urged the catechists to come together as one force to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ to every body in the country and advised them to speak the truth at all times.
Earlier, the Managing Director of Chocho Cream Industry based at Suhum, Alhaji Mustafa Boateng who hails from Kwabeng, donated seven computers to the Presbyterian Primary and Junior Secondary School(JSS) at Kwabeng.
Receiving the items, Rev. Edward Abosi, the District Pastor, commended him for his humanitarian services.
