Joy FM is dedicating its microphones and studio to young Ghanaians to read news and present programmes as part of celebrations marking World Radio Day.
Led by UNESCO, World Radio Day will push for greater social inclusion of the generation under 30 years old. It is the fourth year in a row that the Day is being celebrated.
Out of Ghana’s over 300 radio stations, Joy FM will tomorrow show commitment to UNESCO’s agenda.

From the Super Morning Show to Newsnight, young Ghanaians will be encouraged to show talent, express opinions and enjoy a sense of belongingness which UNESCO is seeking to engender.
UNESCO’s Director-General Irina Bokova in a statement, called on "all UNESCO Member States and partners, especially in the world of radio, to rally around this medium and make the most of it as a force for social inclusion, intergenerational dialogue and social change.”
