A hundred and thirty members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who defected to the Democratic Freedom Party have reverted to the NDC.
They were inducted back into the party in the Volta Region at the weekend.
Prominent among the returnees are the former Volta Regional Chairman and Secretary of the DFP, T. K. Ayi and Manfred Nukudei respectively.
Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NDC, Kofi Adams, who witnessed the induction ceremony, told Joy News the allegations that led to the people breaking away and joining the DFP were not true.
He said the people were misled and was happy that they had found out the truth and were smart enough to “come back home.”
Mr Adams dismissed suggestions the returnees are just but opportunists who returned because the NDC is now in power.
He said politics is about numbers and the NDC has no qualms accepting the people.
