The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has disqualified three of its Parliamentary aspirants in the Western Region.
The three Issah Mumuni, Owusu Ansah and Bismark Geni were all disqualified for various reasons including forgery of documents and some court process for the action.
The Regional Communications Officer, Famous Tumi-Acquah, says the party will ensure free and fair primaries.
Joy News has learnt that the vetting of three other aspirants was put on hold pending investigations while another three MP aspirants were granted permission to be excused from the vetting.
Meanwhile in the Eastern Region, some aggrieved NDC youth in the Fanteakwa North constituency have threatened to seek legal redress after the party disqualified an aspiring parliamentary candidate.
The party's vetting committee disqualified Kwame Odame Darkwa and two other aspirants for failing to meet certain requirements set to guide the conduct of the November 7 primaries.
He was disqualified on the grounds that he contested on the ticket of the NDP in the last parliamentary election.
But the aggrieved youth believe it is a deliberate attempt by the vetting committee to give special treatment to some aspirants.
General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Aseidu Nketiah, has told aspiring parliamentary candidates of the party not to consider going independent should they be disqualified during vetting.
He was addressing the opening of a vetting exercise for parliamentary aspirants in the Northern Region Saturday in the lead up to the November 7 primaries.
