Information reaching Myjoyonline.com says five persons were burnt to death when two trucks collided head on at Nkwanda near Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region at the early hours of Thursday.
One of the dead was burnt to ashes beyond recognition.
The cargo truck was carrying car tyres and batteries, whilst the articulated truck was loaded with yams.
Sources say parts of the truck were cut before the bodies were retrieve.
The Nkawkaw Police are investigating the accident.
