The Minority caucus in the Northern Region is set to hold a crunch meeting on Monday to deliberate on resolving an impasse between the party’s regional chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila and secretary Sualisu Be-Awuribe.
A disagreement between the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) executives in the region led to an attack on some of the executives on Saturday.
The regional secretary has accused the Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila, of instigating the assault.
Sualisu Be-Awuribe told to Joy News that, the national executives expected of them to submit names of some members to be facilitated for National Congress but the Chairman would not cooperate with him.
He added that the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, tried intervening in the matter and it was on his way to meeting with the MP that some irate youth attacked.

The regional chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila has declined to comment on the issue.
Meanwhile, ex-President John Mahama has urged the feuding parties to ‘cease fire’.
The NDC Presidential candidate hopeful wants the parties to resort to dialogue to resolve any misunderstanding among them.
According to a statement signed by his campaign spokesperson, James Agyenim-Boateng, Mr. Mahama is “already in touch with the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu and other Members of Parliament from the region who are working with the Council of Elders to resolve any impasse”
