Joy Sports Assisting Editor Ibrahim Ridwan Asante is one of two Confederation of African Football (CAF) commentators for the ongoing 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations here in Ghana.
Ridwan took charge of his first assignment on Friday [23rd November] for the final Group A match between Algeria and Mali at the Cape Coast Stadium.
He will continue on Saturday when the defending champions Nigeria entertain Equatorial Guinea in the final Group B match at the same venue.
On Tuesday, he will be behind the console for the second semi-final between Mali and the team to head Group B- bookmakers have tipped South Africa.
And also commentate on the bronze medal match on Friday, 30 November which will decide the third African representative for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup finals in France.
Ridwan was co-commentator on the Ghana Premier League for South Africa Pay-TV channel SuperSport for three years between 2012 and 2015.
This is another learning curve for the man who has covered five Africa Cup of Nations, CAF junior tournaments and the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Ridwan recently graduated with a Masters in Marketing Strategy from the University of Ghana Business School.
