Contrary to the letter dated 15th February, 2013 under the hand of Chief Superintendent A. Fosu Ackaah of the Madina Dvision of the Ghana police service purporting to invite the leadership of let my vote count at the instruction of the regional police commander, Commissioner of Police Patrick Timbillah, the regional commander’s office has officially denied knowledge of the said meeting. The ‘Let My Vote Count’ movement takes serious exception to such subterfuge ambush tactics employed by the Madina divisional police commander in this age and time to attempt putting fear in a determined group like the Let My Vote Count Alliance. We do not want to believe, as it is rumored in some sections of the media, that some police personnel have decided to play to the whims and caprices of the embattled John Dramani Mahama led government by putting fear in the voices of dissent and believers in the petition before the Supreme Court challenging the validity of his election. We want to place on record that the Let My Vote Count Alliance remains resolute in supporting the petition challenging the validity of the election of the president and seeking serious fundamental reforms at the Electoral Commission, which in the last election, at least if not all the elections under the 4th republican dispensation has earned a bad reputation for itself in the conduct of its business, purely contrary to what President John Mahama believes, as been the most credible in our nation’s political and electoral history. We shall conduct our business as law abiding citizens within the framework of the law and nothing would stop us from soldiering on. We believe that we are pushing an agenda that is securing the destiny of this nation and safe guarding the future of generations yet unborn.……Signed……
