Neither King of Comedy, KSM nor Dancehall Supremo Samini are known to be associated with football but the first time that the two will meet on common ground, the occasion will be a football platform - the final of the MTN Sports Academy Reality Show.
On Saturday it will be three months that 14 housemates were camped at the Academy to play football, to develop their sporting skills, go through quizzes, meet celebrities, visit sports events and undertake other social activities.
Over the period, a number of evictions took place and only five housemates have been left standing. Of the five, one of them will be the ultimate winner of the grand prize of a saloon car, GH¢5,000, undertake a two-week attachment with a top club in Europe and an opportunity to watch matches of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
For nine of the housemates, not winning the ultimate will not be too hard to take because by some stroke of fortune, they have been given entry into the premier league through their automatic induction into Zaytuna FC, the latest club to join the elite division.
The day of decision is Saturday and that is when KSM and Samini come in not as football players but as players all the same providing some icing on the final cake.
