The Galaxy S10 is Samsung’s next high tech slab of smartphone gadgetry and it’s set to be revealed at a special event next week. And now we also know when it’ll be released.

The South Korean company’s own website has revealed that the release date for the new phone will be March 8.

Revealing an on-sale date before the phone is even announced is a bit of a blunder. But tech fans still spotted it on the US version of the pre-order page which gave March 8 as the date by which delivery is guaranteed.

As well as revealing the date, the site also gave some clues about trade-in prices. Apparently, US customers will be able to get up to $550 off the new phone if they hand over an old handset.

While the American pre-order page is giving out details left and right, the UK equivalent is keeping tight-lipped. You can sign up and hand over your details in exchange for being notified when the pre-order option becomes available.

The Unpacked event that marks the official release of the phone will be taking place on February 20 at 7pm in San Francisco.

What is the Samsung Galaxy S10 going to be like? Several rumours and leaks have given us a good indication of what to expect. There will likely be three versions: a regular S10, an S10+ and an affordable S10e.

The flagship version of the phone is expected to house a Snapdragon 855 processor or Samsung’s own Exynos 9820 processor.

Some believe there will be up to 1TB of storage inside this beast while images have shown a triple-camera on the back.

Unconfirmed reports suggest prices will start around £669 for the basic model with a 5.8-inch screen and 128GB of storage. That goes up to £1,399 for the top-tier, 6.4-inch S10 Plus with a massive 1TB of storage.

It will have an under-display fingerprint scanner like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro as well as reverse wireless charging that’ll let you juice up a pair of wireless Samsung Galaxy Buds headphones.

According to WinFuture, these new Galaxy Buds will be sold separately and could come in at around €149.

That would put them around £130 which is about £30 cheaper than Apple’s £160. Alongside the S10 and the Galaxy Buds, Samsung may also use the event on February 20th to reveal its hotly-tipped new folding phone.
