Ghana forward Andre Ayew scored both goals for Olympique Marseille in their 2-1 win over Toulouse on his return from suspension.
The 23-year-old sat out Marseille’s slim win over Bastia last weekend as he was serving a one-game ban for his sending off in the 1-0 win at Lorient a fortnight ago.
The Ghana international however marked his return to first team action in style as he scored in the 45th and 62nd minute respectively to hand Les Phoceens another vital win over Toulouse.
Ayew’s brace has now taken his season tally in Ligue 1 to eight in 32 games this term.
The win sees Marseille maintain their faint hopes of clinching Ligue 1 as they have now reduced PSG’s lead at the top to just four points ahead of the other fixtures in the French top flight.
Meanwhile, Andre’s junior brother; Jordan got eight minutes of play time in the win after coming on in the 82nd minute to replace Andre-Pierre Gignac.
