Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Alhassan, is currently in a meeting with President John Mahama on the security situation in Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi.
The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohamed Ahmed Alhassan, was in Kumasi on Tuesday May 14 to get firsthand information on the worrying security situation in the Ashanti regional capital.
There have been about 7 killings and reports of gangster activities in the region over the past month.
Some residents have said they are living in fear. The Interior minister yesterday gave an assurance to ensure security to residents in Kumasi.
The acting IGP is expected to brief the President on the security situation in Kumasi.
