The Medical and Dental Council has told has set up a complaints desk for persons who have suffered any form of professional negligence, at the Obengfo Hospital at Weija.The Council has also commenced investigations into reports of unprofessional lipsocution which has gone badly for victims, after they were operated on by Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh, owner of the facility.The family of a man who died while undergoing cosmetic surgery at the hospital officially petitioned the Medical and Dental Council to look into the matter.Joy News’ investigations have revealed Dr. Dominic Obeng-Andoh’s surgeries have left some of his patients with life threatening complications.The investigations also revealed that Dr Obeng-Andoh has not been licensed by the Medical and Dental Council to carry out the surgeries he performs.According to the Council, victims of Dr Obeng-Andoh who call the complaints desk, will be directed on how to proceed to get redress.However, the numbers of the hotline for the complaint desk are yet to be announced.Registrar of the Council, Dr. Eli Atikpui has indicated the complaints desk will be opened daily at 8:30am from Monday June 24 to Friday June 28, 2013.
