Michael Dakodzi, a 42-year-old man, has been remanded in police custody for allegedly killing his grandmother.
The suspect, who hails from Fiakpokope in the Akatsi South District claimed his grandmother was a witch and had been the cause of his retrogression in life.
He also believed her grandmother had caused him to suffer from elephantias.
Michael Dakodzi is alleged to have hit his grandmother several times on the head with a club until she passed out and died.
Akatsi Police Commander, Superintendent Dennis Fiakpui, said the body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for subsequent autopsy at the Akatsi Police Hosptial.
He said although Mr Dakodzi has been remanded temporarily for murder, investigations are on going into the incident.
