The Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Airport Police has launched a search for the family of a young lady knocked down and killed by a vehicle on Friday June 30 around 10:30 a.m.
The young lady, who is believed to be in her late 20s, was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Her body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary.
An Investigator at the MTTU, Corporal Eric Asare, told Joy News they arrested the driver of a salon car for allegedly knocking down the deceased, but he has since been granted bail.
Corporal Asare said his Unit is appealing to the public to assist with efforts to locate the family of the victim to retrieve the body and assist with investigations.
