Child Rights Activist, Bright Appiah is questioning why a fourteen year old JHS student has been expelled from school after she was allegedly defiled and impregnated by her teacher. The young girl is among other students at Dadome in the North Tongu district of the Volta Region who are reported to have been defiled and impregnated by their teachers.Mr Appiah believes it is wrong for the student to be expelled by the school authorities because she exposed a teacher who has impregnated her whilst the teacher remains at post.He has called on the Social Welfare Department and the Ghana Education Service to ensure the rights of the pupils who have been expelled are protected.
